Visa information

All the participants from abroad except those from the CIS are required to have entry visas to the Russian Federation. Russian entry visas can be obtained from your local Russian Embassy or Consulate. You are supposed to apply for the tourist visa.

The list of requisite documents and the information about Russian embassies and consulates in your country can be found on the web-site http://www.russian-embassy.info.

One of the documents you need is a letter of invitation ("tourist confirmation"). The Conference secretariat provides the participants of the conference with this document at their request. In order to send you this letter we need from you the following:

1. Copy of the first page of your passport (the page with your name and photo);
2. Postal address and fax number;
3. 35 EUR.

The copies of your passports can be sent by e-mail (tatiana.cogsci@gmail.com).

The organizers have found the possibility to pay the fee for visa support and the letters of invitation (35 EUR) from the conference budget: this helps you to avoid tax expenses for money transfer. You can reimburse this in cash already in St. Petersburg during the registration.

If you find out that you can't come to the conference for any reason, and the letter of invitation has been sent to you already, please note that you are to pay for visa assistance anyway. The fee may be payed by bank transfer to the following account:

SBERBANK
Severo-Zapadny Head Office
St.Petersburg
Ac.¹ 40503978455200201708
St.Petersburg State University
Faculty of Philology
SWIFT code SABRRU2P

ATTENTION! This account is set for payments in euro only.
(download the invoice in PDF (73 Kb) or XLS (19 Kb))

We would appreciate if you could find out whether the embassy / consulates in your country accept the fax copy of the letter of invitation or not. If not we will send the original one to you by ordinary mail.

The date of your visit indicated in the letter of invitation is June 1 - June 29, 2006, so that you feel free to come earlier or leave later.

Additional information on invitations and visas is available by e-mail at: tatiana.cogsci@gmail.com (Tatiana Svistunova).
