EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH OF PERCEPTUAL AND MNEMONIC ACTS
(Symposium in Memory of T.P. Zinchenko)

The symposium in memory of the outstanding St.Petersburg cognitive psychologist Tatiana P. Zinchenko is organized within the Second Biennial Conference on Cognitive Science (June 9-13, 2006, St.-Petersburg, Russia).

We welcome discussions on the following topics:

  • T.P. Zinchenko's contribution to the development of cognitive science
  • Russian cognitive psychology - its past and present
  • Research in mnemonic and recognition processes
  • The nature of perceptive and mnemonic interference
  • Individual styles of cognitive behaviour

The Symposium is scheduled for one half working day of the conference. The working languages of the Symposium are Russian and English.

We invite all professionals and specialists in the fields of cognitive sciences to submit an abstract. If you wish to participate please send your abstracts on the topics suggested above simultaneously to BOTH of the following addresses: crhome@mail.rcom.ru è zinchrae@mtu-net.ru. Abstracts can be submitted in either English or Russian as an attachment in Word (.doc) format. Please do not write your abstract in the body of the message. Abstracts should be no longer than 2 pages (Times New Roman 12 size, single-spaced) including bibliography and graphs.

The body of the message should include:

  • the title of the paper
  • the author(s) information, including:
    • full name
    • affiliation
    • educational status or degree (undergraduate student, graduate student, Ph.D., etc.)
    • postal address
    • phone number
    • e-mail address
  • 5 to 7 keywords
  • the title of the Workshop

Please do not include this information in the attachment.

DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: November 15, 2005.
The Program Committee will inform the authors of its decision of acceptance no later than February 15, 2006.
